Meditation

Meditation can be beneficial for both mental and physical health. 
Some of the benefits may include:

Meditation 1 Course
Learn the basics during a 4 week Meditation 1 Course that will meet once each week.  The length of each class is 75 minutes.
  This course contains both theory and practice.  You will learn two very simple yet powerful meditation techniques.  An overview of many different styles and traditions will be given so you can get a feel for the style that best suits you.  The topics of each week are:

  • How to meditate
  • What is meditation?
  • Benefits of  meditation
  • Obstacles to meditation
Meditation 2 Course
You may wish to follow this up with a 4 week Meditation 2 Course which goes into greater detail. 

This course covers the 4 main paths of yoga and how to use them for a balanced approach to your practice.  During two of the classes we will be studying "The Yoga Sutras".  This work is India's most authoritative text regarding meditation, the mind and how the mind functions.

Cost of the each course is $40.  Must have at least 5 people per class.
